What skills are needed?

Job profiles in renewable energy are 80% based on general engineering skills also needed in other sectors and 20% on specific qualifications for the renewable energy sector.

The largest need is for experienced engineers and technicians who are able to manage large projects. Such Project Management specialists can come from an engineering background in mechanical engineering and construction or from design and planning.

The continuously growing number of international activities within the Renewable Energy sector, need truly multicultural, experienced and flexible business development experts as well as international sales professionals.

Because many construction projects have been implemented in recent years and are now fully operative, engineers for operations and maintenance are also sought.

The greatest demand in enewable Energy is, in addition to entrepreneurial thinking and project management skills, a high level of flexibility, technical experience and competencies, and solid strategic thinking. Excellent customer management skills (CRM), service oriented behaviour and good negotiation skills are a necessity.
